Durban — The disappearance of a 39-year-old man from Wentworth, south of Durban, has shocked the community.

Jerard Dunn’s family and friends are frantically seeking answers about his whereabouts since his disappearance, in the vicinity of Wentworth on the evening of August 6. He can be identified by his tattoo, reading “Aidynn and Zoe”.

Family spokesperson and Search and Rescue Renegades leader Dawn Gounden said his sudden disappearance has left many shocked and concerned, as he is known for his kind nature in the community and his dedication to helping others.

Gounden said details surrounding Dunn’s disappearance continue to emerge. The uncertainty surrounding his disappearance has left his friends and family in a state of limbo.

She said they are desperately hoping for any news that may shed light on his current whereabouts.

“It’s critical the community come together to provide support and assistance to aid in the search for Dunn, whether through sharing information on social media, participating in search efforts, or simply keeping him in their thoughts and prayers – every effort counts in bringing Dunn home safely.

“As the investigation continues and more information becomes available, it is imperative that we remain vigilant and proactive and ensure that he is reunited with his loved ones as soon as possible,” she said.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said a missing person docket was opened for investigation at Wentworth SAPS.
