It is alleged that the suspect went to the complainant and said he wanted to speak to her.

“It is alleged that he then forcefully took the complainant and told her to go and withdraw the case against him. If she does not, he was going to kill her, she was told. Out of fear the complainant went to the police station to withdraw the case but the police noticed that something was amiss. They called the station commander who interviewed the complainant and he then opened a case of intimidation, kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice,” Langa said.

She said the suspect was later arrested.
