Durban — A woman was arrested for drug dealing after she was caught with 2.1kg of heroin and 624 grams of cocaine with a street value of R520 000.
Police spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa said that on Tuesday, the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit followed up on information regarding a woman who was dealing in drugs at Montclair. Police officers proceeded to Buller Road where observation was conducted.
Ngcobo said that hours later, the woman was spotted leaving the house. She was approached by police who searched a backpack that she had in her possession.
“During the search police officers discovered 2.1kg of heroin and 624 grams of cocaine with a street value of R520 000,” Ngcobo said.
She said that the 29-year-old suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs and detained at Montclair SAPS.
Ngcobo said that the suspect was expected to appear before the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
