Taylor Swift has done it again, breaking records and stealing hearts.
The release of her official “The Eras Tour” book has become a major sensation, adding to the triumph of her record-shattering tour. However, fans were quick to point out a few ... well, let’s call them “quirks” in the book.
According to Pollstar, “The Eras Tour”, which wrapped up on December 8, has already cemented its place in history as the highest-grossing tour ever, pulling in a staggering $1 billion (18.17 billion rands).
Swift posted on Instagram, saying, “This tour has been the most wondrous experience, and I knew I wanted to commemorate the memories we made together in a special way.”
It’s no surprise that when the book hit shelves, it became an instant hit. Over 800,000 copies — 814,000 to be exact — flew off shelves during the Thanksgiving weekend alone.
Swift sold the book exclusively through American supermarket chain Target, cutting out big-name retailers like Amazon. The book was priced at $40 (R721) and was the must-have item for Swifties worldwide.
But here’s where things got ... interesting. While the sales numbers were through the roof, not all of the attention was positive.
Some sharp-eyed fans were quick to point out a number of mistakes in the book, misspelt song titles, missing punctuation and even blurry pictures.
One fan posted on TikTok, saying she was "blown away" by the “amount of grammatical errors” she found after waiting in line at 5am to get her hands on the book.
Her caption read: “I know I’m not the only one disappointed with ‘The Eras Tour’ book, but I haven’t seen anyone else talk about the glaringly obvious grammatical errors and clunky sentences within the pages.
“I make this video with peace, love, and a general frustration about how easy many of these problems could have been fixed with one more set of editing eyes.
“This book just had so much potential and with a little tweaking it could have been absolutely spectacular.”

Other fans on X dubbed the book the “errors book”, with one video showing the book printed upside down and back to front.
Another user listed a total of eight typos, which included misspelt song titles and even missing punctuation.

But do these little mistakes really matter to the Swiftie fandom? Not really. Swifties are known for their undying loyalty. The book might be a little rough around the edges but, for them, it’s gold. They’ll treasure it no matter what.
As one TikTok user responded to Emily’s post, “Are people seriously complaining about this? omg.”
Another commented: “So it’s not that it’s bad it’s just that YOU think it’s bad.”
While another wrote: “The rawness of this book made it more personal, like Tay had written everything, says everything, unedited, raw, from heart, to voice, to this book!”
