'The Scorpion King: Book of Souls' star Pearl Thusi evaded a hijacking attempt on Thursday evening in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

The local actress shared details of the incident on Twitter, stating that a man came up to her while she was in her car with a gun in his hand. He then told her she must give him her cell phone or "he'll shoot" her.

Someone definitely just pulled a gun on me on the road in Braam while I was in my car. Then said I must give him my phone or he’ll shoot me.

I said no, then drove away (luckily the light just turned green).

I only started freaking out a few minutes later. 😂 #thuglife

Thusi then pulled a boss move and told him "no" and drove away and caught a lucky break as the traffic robot was green.

She did admit that while she was brave at the moment, afterwards she was "freaking out" from the whole experience.

Twitter user @IBelieveInSA then asked if her if she was OK after the ordeal and made a point of highlighting the robbers rely on people to have startled inaction.

Hope you're okay? Please? Could you see a gun? The person that told me he was going to stick a knife in my throat didn't seem to be left-handed enough to pull off the threat. They rely on our startled inaction.

The 'Quantico' star then confirmed that she is fine and that her interaction with fake guns on set is mostly like the reason why she didn't "immediately freak out".

Yes I did.

But I’ve worked with fake guns on movies and other shows so they don’t immediately freak me out. https://t.co/DA24rMaHGY
