Fans in the United States and Canada now have the chance to experience the superstar live in her hometown of Johannesburg, South Africa, this December.

Coke Studio is running a “Sweepstakes” competition for Tyla’s U.S. and Canada based fans aged 18 and older. The grand prize includes an all expenses paid trip for four to Johannesburg, where the “Water” hitmaker will perform live in concert.

The prize package features concert tickets, four nights of hotel accommodation, round trip airfare, and R26,358 ($1,500) in spending money for the duration of their stay in South Africa.

While R&B singer Usher will perform in Atlanta in October as part of his Past Present Future tour, and Tyla will take the stage in her hometown of Johannesburg, Tyla’s December performance will be exclusively dedicated to the competition.

The lucky winner and their four friends will get to witness the amapiano superstar live in Johannesburg which will mark a truly special hometown performance.

However, Tyla’s local fans are not as thrilled about the announcement. Some have taken to social media to express their disappointment, feeling left out of the exclusive experience.

“This isn’t fair,” posted @Tylasweetener.

“I support everything, but not this! There are South Africans who want to see Tyla live so badly, but it’s not affordable for everyone, especially those living far from JHB (like me),” wrote @haileybeibsnews.

The competition is a international promotion but some might say the local fans have a little bit of FOMO (fear of missing out) as they hope for an inclusive experience.
