It blends the Grammy-nominated megastar’s soulful vocals with the DJ and producer’s legendary beats and Hypaton’s modern vibrancy.

This collaboration also brings together artists from different generations to deliver a dancefloor-ready track this festive season.

The Senegalese-American singer, songwriter, record producer and businessman explained that he was thrilled to work with Guetta, who he believes is a “master at creating music that uplifts and unites people.

He was the perfect choice to bring fresh energy to “Akon’s Beautiful Day” and with Hypaton in the mix they elevate its message to a whole new level.”

Meanwhile, the original song, with its feel-good beat and chorus that invites the world to sing along, has been dubbed by Akon as “the anthem the world needs right now.”

Released in October, it has become a global viral success, amassing 1.4 billion views on TikTok.

It has also broken records as the only independent release to debut as the No 1 Most-Added song at the US’s Rhythmic Radio in 2024. The song also reached No 20 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay. The official music video has surpassed 14.7 million and counting.

As it aims to spread positivity, the track reimagines a viral moment from 10-year-old Jamaican student Rushawn Ewears, whose heartfelt school performance resonated worldwide.

It blends Akon’s smooth vocals with a children’s choir as the acoustic-driven anthem builds to an uplifting chorus.

“Akon’s Beautiful Day” was also released to coincide with the 20th anniversary of his debut album, “Trouble”, which first launched him into global stardom with hits like “Locked Up”.

The release comes on the back of the musician taking a five-year sabbatical.
