For the latest instalment of Major League Gardens, DJs and twin brothers, Banele and Bandile Mbere had to duel with Jozi weather.

On an overcast day over the weekend, a crowd of younguns congregated at the Nasrec Expo Centre. The theme was all-white but of course, some people just missed the memo.

It was most noticeable with the likes of Gigi Lamayne. The new Ambitiouz Entertainment signee was one of the rappers who was brought out during Nadia Nakai’s set for a performance of Miss Pru’s posse cut, Isaga Lam. While all the artists on stage were dressed in all white, Lamayne sported a yellow bomber jacket and jeans.

As usual, producer, Big Dreamz was the host with the most and new radio DJ, Carpo introduced Black Motion’s performance. Although the Major League DJs are known for rap, the line-up was populated by house DJs.

Black Coffee was the headline act and the crowd went nuts for him. Family Tree boss, Cassper Nyovest performed as did Gemini Major, Tshego, Shane Eagle, Tira, A-Reece and more.

Lerato Kganyago was on the decks as was Shimza and Prince Kaybee. Up and coming artists like Espiquet and Faith K also performed.

Perhaps the weather was a hindrance but this Major League Gardens was not as well attended as the ones in the past.
