The intriguing world of polygamy is making a comeback as Musa Mseleku returns for season eight of “Uthando neS’thembu”.

The new season is set to premiere on January 22 and fans can expect a fresh, real novela format packed into 24 episodes, airing every Wednesday and Thursday.

The eighth instalment promises more drama, new dynamics, and the addition of a fifth wife, bringing fresh possibilities and challenges, especially when it comes to expanding the family with more children.

In a recent interview with “The Citizen”, Mseleku addressed the introduction of a new wife, clarifying that this decision is not about personal growth or future vision.

“Wife number five is not going to determine how my life will develop as I grow. Taking a young wife has several advantages. And I am positive that she will be able to carry forward the rest of the generation,” he explained.

Mseleku's long-standing dream of fathering up to 20 children has been a hot topic, especially with some of his wives opposing the idea of having more kids.

“I know that some of my wives ensure that they prevent having more children. So, my dream is not possible under these circumstances. I cannot say I am leaving this to my sons.

“Because they will have children of their own and their families, but mine is to guide them,” Mseleku shared.

The decision to expand the family hasn’t come without its hurdles. Some of Mseleku’s wives have voiced their dissatisfaction, with a few even threatening to leave if he continues with his plans for a fifth wife.

Despite the potential fallout, Mseleku stands firm with his principles.

“If they decide to leave, it will be a sad thing, but I cannot stop them. I always make sure they do not leave, but I cannot share the secret of how I manage this,” he said.

The spotlight from having a reality show has added scrutiny to Mseleku's life decisions, particularly regarding his children. Yet, he believes that his kids are strong and capable of making their own choices despite external pressures.
