Heritage Day is set to be a spectacular celebration of South African culture at Mojo Market which will transform into a vibrant hub of African music, delicious food and colourful drinks which all offer a true taste of the country’s rich heritage.

The festivities will kick off with Justin Zulu, who will perform from 1pm to 3pm. A prominent figure in South Africa's music scene, he is renowned for his unique blend of traditional Afro-soul and contemporary rhythms.

Marimba Vibrations will then take the stage from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. This ensemble is celebrated for its vibrant marimba melodies and rhythmic versatility, offering a high-energy performance that combines traditional marimba tunes with modern influences.

Ashweeta, a popular band from Cape Town, will perform from 6pm to 8pm. Their music is celebrated for its dynamic range and lyrical depth, making them a stand-out act in the local music scene. Mmino will then close the event from 8pm to 10pm. Their high-energy Afrobeats performances blend traditional South African sounds with modern influences.

Mojo Market is renowned for its eclectic mix of artisanal stalls, gourmet food, and vibrant atmosphere. On Heritage Day, it offers more than just a celebration but a journey through the heart of South Africa.

The market features diverse food options, from mouth-watering local dishes to international delicacies, catering to every palate.

Special offerings celebrating South African cuisine will be available for the occasion, ensuring a feast for the senses. Colourful and refreshing drinks will pair perfectly with the food, with options ranging from traditional beverages to creative concoctions.

The market also showcases unique arts and crafts from local artisans, providing an opportunity to explore hand-crafted items and to pick up a special souvenir or gift.

This historic agricultural show in the Cape Winelands region is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year.

Known as the second-largest open-air horse show in the country, the event features a five-day programme showcasing over 400 horses.

This includes the prestigious WP Saalperd, the WP Swart Trekperd and the SA Ryperd Championships.

The Lenteskou has evolved from its agricultural roots and now offers a wide range of activities for families, including Boer goat exhibitions, craft stalls, food vendors and children’s entertainment.

It also features live music events and wine tastings from the surrounding valley.

This year's show will also include a make-up masterclass by Willem Botha and promises to be a blend of rich heritage and modern attractions​.

This year's celebration is bringing the best of Cape Town's music scene, mouthwatering braai food and lekker vibes, making it an event you don’t want to miss. The festivities starts at noon, so you’ve got plenty of time to grab a drink, chill and soak up the local flavour.

The District Main Stage will host exciting performances from the likes of South African rapper PHfat and The Rudimentals.

They will be joined by Max Hurrell, Viktoria and Eohan.You can also expect to see local legends like RaggaBoyz, Bryan Farrow and Tropix keeping the crowd on their feet with back-to-back beats.

As one of the headline acts, PHfat has had several successful tours to Australia, Europe and the UK. In South African, he has opened for the likes of Public Enemy, MGMT, Milky Chance, Casey Veggies, The Cat Empire, The Used, Crystal Fighters, Crystal Castles and the Presets.

Meanwhile, The WorsMeister will be handling the grill, so you can expect top-tier braai food to keep you going as you dance the day away. The cocktails will also be flowing, giving you the perfect blend of relaxation and excitement as you enjoy the entertainment.
