Mampintsha’s mother’s health seems to be deteriorating rapidly following her son’s untimely death.
Mampintsha’s mother Zamanguni Gumede is reportedly struggling to come to terms with his death.
As her health worsens, she has reportedly forgotten that her son Mampintsha has passed away.
Speaking to Zimoja, Mampintsha’s sister Pinky Gumede revealed that their mother still asks for Mampintsha. She said that when she asks for Mampintsha, she has no option but to tell her that he is at the airport.
“Even now, she is still asking for Mandla and I’ve had to tell her that he is at the airport,” Mampintsha’s sister said.
“We had to help her to walk. But now she is worse. The doctor says her liver has been affected and she also has been diagnosed with a stroke.
“But her stroke is not bad, she will not be disabled if she takes her medication. She has not been able to eat properly and that is affecting how she takes her medication.” Pinky said.
Mampintsha’s mother is hospitalised at a public hospital. She was reportedly diagnosed with a stroke and her liver is also said to have been affected. At the funeral and memorial service, they had to assist her.
Mampintsha’s sister has since started pleading for donations so that she can take her mother to a private hospital.
Pinky said that her mother needs psychological help so that she can deal with the trauma of the loss of her son.
“I don’t have money to do that. I am appealing to the public to assist me so I can get her the best treatment,” she said.
