After dazzling crowds in Paris, rapper Maglera Doe Boy, did the same on home soil, at the third annual MaXhosa Kulture Festival.
There’s something about bringing the world of fashion and music together, especially when it is done well, which is exactly what the MaXhosa Kulture Festival achieved.
Maglera Doe Boy, real name Tokelo Moyakhe curated a performance that brought the MaXhosa winter collection to life. Maglera began his performance with the attention-commanding “Memoirs” as the models walked behind.
As opposed to other years, the MaXhosa Kulture Festival saw models walk around the grounds, allowing guests to see the collection, as opposed to a normal sit-down runway show.

Laduma Ngxokolo’s relationship with Mercedes Benz is growing with several of the brand's high-end vehicles on display, for attendees to snap a picture inside.
Guests were treated to a line-up that celebrated South African music, from house, gqom and hip hop. All the performing acts were dressed in MaXhosa Africa, from Stogie T to Anatii who gave an electrifying performance.
Metro FM presenter Luthando ‘Loot Love’ Shosha was the MC for the festival, keeping guests entertained. Not only did she slay her duties but also the fashion, thanks to MaXhosa. When the moon came out, so did Loot Love’s fun side, which she showed off when it came to introducing legendary DJ Black Coffee after Cape Town’s finest, DJ Loyd and Sir Vincent.
Not only were guests treated to great music and food, but they could get their hair touched up at the TRESemmé pop-up and Legends Barber which provided hair-cuts.
