This is the first time we've seen the 2015 BMW F80 M3 sedan completely naked - caught on video while shooting an official BMW promo video!
It will be very interesting to see how long it takes BMW to publish its video of this distinctive demo car, finished in Yas Marina Blue, and wearing all the M aero kit.
Believe it or not, that colour in intended to match the run-off areas at the Abu Dhabi F1 circuit - which, we suppose, would act as camouflage if you did something silly there in your M3 and ran off the circuit.
BUT SERIOUSLY...
The F80 marks the return of the M division to BMW's traditional straight-six architecture (the Bavarian Motor Works has been building six-cylinder engines a lot longer than it has been building motor vehicles) with a three-litre biturbo lump which it says will be good for about 315kW and 500Nm.
The M3 sedan and its two-door M4 sibling will share the new engine and either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission; expect to see them at the Detroit motor show in January 2014.
Meanwhile, crank up the volume and enjoy that M-six sound.
