Mercedes-Benz has snuck the first picture of its new E 63 AMG into circulation as part of a group shot that parades the complete facelifted E-Class family.
The accompanying release mentions that the new AMG super-saloon will make its world debut at the Detroit motor show next week, but stops short of divulging any technical data, except it does let slip that a 4-Matic all-wheel drive version will be available.
However, it's widely speculated that the new E 63 will ditch its current 386kW/630Nm 6.2-litre V8 for AMG's latest 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8.
In the SL 63 this motor thumps out 395kW and a stomping 800Nm of twisting force, but its state of tune in the E 63 is still up to speculation - some are saying that it'll have 405kW on tap.
