In the vibrant landscape of South African music, deep house and Afro house producer InQfive is poised to make waves with the upcoming release of his eagerly anticipated album, Deeper Than Politics Vol.3, set to drop on November 29.

Known off-stage as Tshepang Mpinga, the 28-year-old has fans buzzing with excitement, particularly as they await the album’s lead single titled All Night, featuring Philasande and Cresta X, which will be available on October 25.

Born in Boksburg, Mpinga's love affair with music ignited during his childhood, with rhythms and melodies firmly embedded in his DNA.

“Music has always been in my blood ,its a sentiment that paved the way for my journey in composition since 2013,” said InQfive, also known as The Special One.

By 2020, he took a significant step forward by launching his own record label, InQfive Music, an initiative that marked his dedication to steering his artistic direction while simultaneously enhancing his sound.

“When I first started, I was all about deep house. I still am, but I have become more versatile, branching out into Afro House as well,” he said.

Indicating the evolution of his musical craft, this versatility is palpable in his expansive catalogue.

However, Deeper Than Politics Vol.3 vows to return to his deep house roots while interweaving soulful fusions across its 13 tracks.

Despite the promising strides in his career, Mpinga candidly shared the challenges he encountered along the way.

“Figuring out my sound was tough, especially in the beginning, but I kept going. I made new music all the time, improving my skills and honing what would eventually become the sound that my fans recognise today,” he said.

The album sees InQfive collaborating with an array of well-known producers, including KingTouch, BusyExplore, Academic, and Decue, culminating in an enriched tapestry of talent and creativity.

Speaking to Pretoria News, he said that this project transcends mere entertainment; it is a profound reflection on life, art, and the underlying themes that connect humanity.

“This album tells a story about how music is deeper than politics, how it transcends the things that divide people. Music itself is therapy; it heals, it connects, while politics sometimes spoils the fun,” he said.

For Mpinga, the Deeper Than Politics series is deeply personal, having begun with its first volume, and it has flourished into a cherished concept among his listeners.

“Vol.1 was received so well, and I have carried that momentum forward. I can’t wait to unpack this new release for my listeners. These 13 tracks are for my die-hard fans who have supported me from the beginning,” he added.

As the release date approaches, anticipation builds for what promises to be one of Mpinga’s most heartfelt and insightful offerings to date.

Fans can expect to dive into the soulful rhythms and introspective themes that give Mpinga’s music its unique resonance, offering a sonic experience that goes beyond mere entertainment and into the realms of emotional connectivity.
