JOHANNESBURG – Supersport United coach Kaitano Tembo says he has a selection headache in the build up to Saturday’s MTN8 final against Cape Town City.

The Matsatsantsa mentor made changes at the weekend, bringing in a few fresh faces – among them striker James Keene – who all did well.

Keene, who was picked ahead of the inform Bradley Grobler, scored twice as they thrashed Black Leopards 4-0 in an Absa Premiership clash in Atteridgeville.

“It is always good when you have your attacking players scoring goals,” said Tembo on Wednesday before taking his side through their paces.

“That is what you need because you win matches by scoring goals. I am very happy for Bradley, Evans (Rusike) and James for getting the goals – that’s why they are here. They have responded very well (to the rotation) and we just hope they continue.”

It’s not just upfront where Tembo will have to make a tough call on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

His is also spoilt for choice in midfield, but can’t pick all of them.

“We try and rotate the players – we have Dean Furman, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Teboho Mokoena and others. Teboho is a young player learning from Dean, who is a leader of the team.

‘Yeye’ (Letsholonyane) is hardworking and still has the desire, I don’t even look at his age (36) because he still has the hunger to achieve. We have Aubrey (Modiba) as well who can come in midfield.

We have a structure where whoever plays fits in.”
