Orlando Pirates fans have issued a clear warning to Egyptian giants Al Ahly after the two teams were drawn into the same group for the CAF Champions League.

The Soweto giants advanced to the group stages of Africa’s premier club competition after defeating Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy in the preliminary stages of the competition.

The Buccaneers are also riding high after making history as the first team to win the MTN 8 title three times in a row, following their controversial 3-1 victory over Stellenbosch last Saturday.

The Soweto have been drawn in Group C alongside other top teams on the continent such as Chabab Belouizdad (Algeria), Stade Abidjan (Ivory Coast), including Al Ahly.

Following confirmation of the group, the Buccaneers faithful took to X to send early warning shot to their opponents particularly to the Egyptian giants.

@sgegede03 said no team will come out alive at Orlando Stadium this season, adding that the sooner Al Ahly are warned, the better.

“No one will come out alive in Orlando stadium the sooner we warn Al ahly the better We are Orlando Pirates” posted on X.

While @Ronewa_Mathephe highlighted that no Southern African has beated Al Ahly more than Orlando Pirates.

“No Southern African team has Al Ahly's number more than Orlando Pirates... Don't pray for us, pray for them!”

@Paseka_Tshani1 suggested if the Soweto giants could Sevilla, then Al Ahly should be a piece of cake, adding the Egyptian were not ready for teenage sensation Relebohile Mofokeng.

“If we can beat Sevilla, a Spanish team that is in LA Liga... Al Al hly is nothing.... they are not ready for Relebogile R Line Mofokeng. Someone is going to eat grass”

@SisonkeViti shared the same sentiments, stating that Pirates have beaten Al Ahly before.

“We used to beat Aly Ahly SC and we will beat them again. We have Mofokeng, Dlamini, Saleng, Maswangwanyi, Van Royeen, olisa Ndah, Hotto, Makhaula etc. The list is endless”
