TS Galaxy need to relaunch their Rocket to shake off their recent run of form as they prepare to take on a solid Golden Arrows side in their Betway Premiership clash on Saturday at the Mbombela Stadium (5.30pm kick-off).

The Rockets have been impressive since Bosnian mentor Adnan Beganovic took over, and they have occupied a place in the top half since then, with their most impressive win coming against Mamelodi Sundowns (1-0) earlier this month.

It hasn't been smooth sailing since then, as a loss in the round of 16 of the Nedbank Cup against Motsepe Foundation Championship side Durban City (2-1 in extra time) has seen them lose their uneaten record under Beganovic.

Losses against Stellenbosch FC (2-3) and Sundowns (4-1) followed soon after to leave them seventh on the log.

Five points separate the two sides, with Abafana Bes’thende having played four games less than the Rockets.

In their previous league encounter, both sides could not be separated, playing out to a 1-1 draw and as the battle for the top-eight positions heats up, both sets of coaches will want to secure maximum points this week

Elsewhere, Richards Bay FC will have their sights set on making a giant stride away from the relegation zone when they welcome Chippa United at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday (8pm kick-off).

The Natal Rich Boyz are three points away from 15th-placed Magesi FC, and fresh off their hard-fought 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC last weekend, Ronnie Gabriel and his charges will be looking to build on that result with the league nearing the end.

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit are unbeaten in their last four outings and coming up against an inconsistent Chippa United side that currently occupy ninth place on the table, a win against them could see them trail the Gqeberha outfit by a single point.

The Chilli Boys will take a lot of confidence from their 1-0 first-round encounter, courtesy of a Thabiso Kutumela own goal.

But having missed out on the top eight last season, Chippa need to shake off their inconsistency sooner than later, and a tough away fixture in KZN could be a good start.

Meanwhile, Magesi FC could play spoiler as celebrations for coach Gavin Hunt continue following his milestone of coaching in 1 000 matches in the Premier Soccer League.

The two sides will face off at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday (3.30pm kick-off).

Since their championship showing in the Carling Knockout competition, which they won by beating favourites Sundowns 2-1 in the final, the Limpopo-based outfit have had a league season to forget so far as they have struggled to keep up with the requirements of top-flight football.

They will come up against a confident Matsatsantsa side that have seemingly turned the corner in their season, as they currently enjoy a two-match unbeaten streak.

The former league champions, through the guidance of Hunt, masterminded the downfall of Kaizer Chiefs with a dominant 4-1 win, with some of the new signings having a telling impact for the Pretoria-based side.

Both sides have met twice this season, the league and Nedbank Cup, with Matsatsantsa emerging victorious on both occasions, and on current form, more of the same can be expected this weekend.
