DJ MAPHORISA and Kabza De Small are living the high life in London and it’s left some netizens green with envy.

You know how Hollywood stars roll as the rich get richer, making ridiculous demands like closing down entire stores just for a little “celebrity-only” shopping spree.

Well, South Africa’s very own Scorpion Kings, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, decided to follow suit.

However, the Amapiano stars caught some heat after they shut down a Louis Vuitton store in London for an exclusive shopping session. Of course, Mzansi followers had plenty to say.

Social media erupted with mixed reactions, from those who see their wealth as deserving of a celebration, to others who call for more meaningful investments, particularly in local South African brands.

@_BlackZA took to X to write: “Louis Vutton London closes for Kabza and Dj Maphorisa to do some shopping.”

@BBK29_ said: “I’m not gonna lie or hate but this is just nonsense to be honest 💯🤞 It’s their money but how about they do this nonsense in private and not bring it on social media🤧🤧🤧🤧

“Soon@sarstax will be knocking on their doors and they will be crying that is a witch-hunt 🙄🙄🙄🙄 There's nothing inspiring about this nonsense at all🤞💯“

@master_ureself said: “Labels symbolise the value we place on external perceptions—dressing in luxury brands like LV has little meaning if not witnessed by others. Hence, as the public, we claim the right to critique this obsession, even if it ruffles some feathers.

“Where other races channel their wealth into building franchises and supporting their communities, our focus often drifts toward superficial displays of wealth, neglecting the deeper investments that foster true progress.

“This isn’t a critique born of hate but a lamentation of a troubling reality.“

@VuyoFanta said: “All good and well, it’s their money. However for me, I think it would be even doper if I could see them do this with our SA brands like David Tale or Maxhosa or Rich Mnisi etc … If they've done that before well then great.”

“As much as they are entitled to do as they please with their money I just find such public display of ‘fortune’ a little unnecessary. These are the things they will be reminded of in rainy days,” @ThembaMhlophe said.
