Johannesburg - Popular music artist Refiloe Phoolo, fondly known as Cassper Nyovest, is counting the days to his highly-anticipated fill-up concert at his hometown in Mmabatho on 3 December in North West.

The star, who promised to put on a great show on Saturday, has also sparked excitement to his fans as he shares his preparations ahead of this affair.

In the spirit of giving back, Nyovest has also bought 100 Root-of-Fame sneakers and donated them to his hometown.

Sharing with his social media fans he said: “Special gratitude goes to the honourable mayor for taking his time to being with us, the volunteers that constantly give their hearts out in helping the children and the Department of Social Media Development for going the extra mile in helping us identify these homes. It feels great to be able to come home and help where I can.

“There is no place like home, to be doing this show in my hometown is a dream come true and to be doing this with some of the best artists in the game right now is even more exciting. Some of my favourite artists from Mahikeng are here and ready to perform. We are grateful for the support of our local community and it’s about to be a big show.”

Nyovest hosted his press conference at the Mafikeng Convention Centre for his much anticipated Fill Up Mmabatho Stadium, where he spoke about the event.

He also added pointing out their ultimate goal to bring the excitement again to Mafikeng and also influence the music industry.

“While I am still who I am, I want to bring a certain vibe to Mafikeng, not only this weekend but there are a lot of properties that we want to build incubators in my industry.”

Asked if he anticipated the concept of Fill Up thriving he said all he wanted to do was to fill up the Dome but later received requests to do more.

Lerato “T-Lee” Moiloa, Cassper’s business manager and co-founder, says they are proud of the strides they have made as a business and how the event has grown in supporting local talent, local businesses, and how it has also made Cassper an even better artist and performer.

“Also, we are thrilled to have more women in our business in decision-making positions, competent and about the business,” says T-Lee.

Nyovest is also releasing his new single Bana Ba Stout, a song where he celebrates South African women. As a well-travelled man, he believes that South Africa has the most beautiful women in the world.
