After weeks of fierce competition and breathtaking performances, the reality music competition show uShuni Womhlaba has unveiled the top three finalists who are set to battle for the coveted title in the grand finale.
The semi-final episode culminated in a memorable experience featuring gripping performances that saw the contestants share the stage with some of South Africa’s most beloved music legends.
The three finalists moving forward to the final showdown are Mthobisi Gudazi (aka Gudaazi), Lindokuhle Mthimunye (Lindo Jay Music), and Thandikhaya Magayiyana (Joliza Bhacasoul).

Meet the Finalists:
Mthobisi Gudazi (aka Gudaazi): Hailing from eManzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal, Gudaazi brings a soulful edge to the competition. A master of fusing traditional elements with modern influences, his powerful voice and emotive performances have consistently wow judges and audiences alike. Gudazi’s musical journey is deeply rooted in the love for storytelling through song, inspired by his upbringing in a music-loving family.
Lindokuhle Mthimunye (Lindo Jay Music): This vibrant performer from eMalahleni, Mpumalanga, has made waves with his unique Afro-fusion style, blending Afro-pop, Maskandi, and contemporary beats. Mthimunye’s energetic stage presence coupled with his strong connection to his cultural roots has established him as a formidable contender, continuously pushing creative boundaries and establishing a personal connection with his audience.
Thandikhaya Magayiyana, known colloquially as Joliza Bhacasoul, this Eastern Cape native from Qheberha, showcases his musical artistry by intertwining traditional Bhaca rhythms with modern sounds, illuminating the depth of South African musical heritage. Magayiyana’s performances exemplify emotional depth and technical prowess, winning the admiration of fans nationwide.

The third-placed contestant will walk away with a prize of R200 000, while the runner-up will receive R300 000. The grand champion will take home R500 000, accompanied by a recording contract and entry into a prestigious artist mentorship programme — a remarkable opportunity for any aspiring musician.
