Thabooty’s Underwear & Shapewear is now available on the application platform Uber Eats. The brand, which was officially launched in 2017, hopes to usher in summer flavours on the app with the introduction of its bikini range, which will be available soon.

“The idea to create Thabooty’s came from my own personal experience of struggling to find any sexy yet functional shapewear locally. I wanted to give women a more attractive option for shapewear that is appealing to the eye and caters for different shapes and sizes,” said Thabooty’s founder and media personality Thando Thabethe.

Thabethe said that over the years she has seen wonderful growth and was delighted to collaborate with Uber Eats to make Thabooty’s more accessible to women by delivering to their doorstep at the touch of a button.

The brand is available on Uber Eats via Thabooty’s stores in Dainfern, The Glen and online at Thabootys.com and for those who stay outside Johannesburg.

The limited-edition swimwear will only be available on Thabooty’s, along with other products women can buy, such as like luxury sleepwear, sexy underwear and confidence-boosting shapewear.

Head of New Verticals for Uber Eats sub-Saharan Africa, Cikida Gcali-Mabusela, said they were excited about having Thabooty’s as the newest addition to their suite of female-owned businesses on the platform and were looking forward to seeing them grow from strength to strength.

“This collaboration takes us one step closer to delivering on our vision of evolving the app into a virtual mall that allows users to get anything delivered to their doorstep as quickly as possible,” said Gcali-Mabusela.

Originally and primarily known as a food delivery marketplace, Uber Eats has grown into an on-demand convenient marketplace where businesses and customers connect, a hassle-free platform providing an array of goods and services to customers across South Africa.

“We are humbled that Thabooty’s has made Uber Eats their platform of choice. This is in line with our aspiration of connecting with users beyond just food. Other categories we have ventured into include convenience stores, pharmacy outlets, alcohol and retail,” said Gcali-Mabusela.
