Indeed, it is the prerogative of the president to choose the next ambassador to the US, bearing in mind the unprecedented nature of the precarious situation in which we find ourselves

However, it might be prudent in some cases to deviate from the prescriptions of our guiding principles as expressed in the Constitution, which has ended up giving us Angie Motshega as Minister of the SANDF at the most difficult time of our military services in South Africa.

Moreover, the Department of Health has no representative of other members of the GNU, with both the minister and deputy ministers being ANC members, despite their stubborn adherence to their misdirected wish and determination to implement the NHI at whatever cost, regardless of the ailing, near collapse state of our health services.

It is mind- boggling how ANC members fail to realise how the country was at the time of the drafting of the Constitution and how much things have fallen apart since then.

Right now, we should be pre-occupied with one thing only, choosing an embassador who will dispel all the lies that have brought us where we are, and someone who believes in creating conditions that will restore peace and co-operation between the two countries.

It should not matter whether or not that person happens to be Afrikaner, because not all whites are aggrieved by the GNU,  more than 98%  want to enjoy stability In their country of birth and will never cherish the idea of becoming refugees in another country like the many immigrants who arrive here daily from other failed African countries, looking for greener pastures, only to find it was nothing, but a mirage.

Please, at this crucial moment in our lives, sober minds are needed.  I
