Welkom - Free State police on Wednesday were searching for those involved in the murder of a man in Welkom and appealed for those who know the victim to come forward.
“We request anyone who has information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects or anyone who knows the deceased to please contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Teswin Carls of Welkom Detective Services at telephone number 057-391-6238 ,” spokeswoman Molebogeng Lechesa said.
The man, identified through his fingerprints as Petrus Goliat, was admitted to Bongani Hospital in Welkom on April 26.
“He passed away on May 21, 2014 at this hospital,” said Lechesa.
His body was still at the Welkom government mortuary.
