Bloemfontein - Two people were injured when their vehicle hit a cow and a then a truck on the N3 near Villiers, Free State, paramedics said on Sunday.

“Two people were injured following an accident on the N3

approximately thirty kilometres from Villiers to Warden last night,” said Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann.

“Reports from the scene... indicate that a light delivery vehicle crashed against a cow resulting in the vehicle crashing against a heavy goods vehicle.”

The two occupants of the light delivery vehicle sustained serious injuries and were transported to hospital after being treated on the scene.

The driver and a passenger in the truck were not injured.
