American artist and musician Doja Cat is allowing fans to see how her mind works with an Airbnb hosting experience in West Hollywood, California US.
According to the singer, she curated the look and feel of an entire house to match her aesthetic from the ambiance, the design, the menu and, of course, the music for the evening.
For just R1 355 a guest, Doja Cat is inviting fans to step into a world, where they’ll see her artistry up close and personal.
“If I’m being real with you, this is not something I have ever done before. But this was too cool of an opportunity to give something to my fans they’ve never seen before. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for both of us,” said the singer.
She also said that she created the perfect space for fans to view some precious family heirlooms, including her grandmother’s paintings, followed by a delicious feast of her favourite foods, all leading to an intimate performance of her songs in the living room.
Doja also shared that she wants attendants to open up and share in on the experience.
“But since I’m opening up in a way I never have before, you have to participate a bit as well. I’ve left you a probing question on the vanity that requires you to bear a little of your own soul. It’s only fair. I hope you come out the other side inspired to create something of your own,” she said.
The artist also apologized to fans for not making the experience a full-night stay as with the culture of experiences on Airbnb.
“I can only withstand this exchange of energies for so long, so this is not a stay,” she said.
